How much willingness would it take
for someone struggling with addiction
to take the receipt and bottle back to
the store. To return it back to where it
came from.

I as a recovering alcoholic don't think
I would have had to guts or nerve to
return my purchase 25 yrs ago, however,
today I can pass on my own ESH - experiences,
strengths and hopes with the newcomer
or one that is struggling with addiction,
guiding them with helpful suggestions
to use in your situation or help you make
a healthier decision to remain sober today.

If I had a network or support group of
awesome members back in 1990, computers,
cellphones, all this technology used
in todays time in recovery like right
here in SR, I would have been so elated
and grateful to have you in my life teaching
me about addiction and all that is
available to help folks over come it
and live a better life without poison
trying to kill us.

Now you have me in tears!!! Tonight is a victory and I'm just so grateful. I took a peep at my sleeping young ones and they deserve a mom that's alert enough to hear them call in the middle of the night. I have never poured out a bottle of wine before so this is definitely a big moment in my sobriety.

Btw, do not underestimate what you have done. It's something some other people wouldn't have been able to do. You moved a mountain today... with ease.

I felt very empowered pouring it out. At first I thought I'll keep it for when a friend visits or I'll give it away... but I knew I was fooling myself. With everyone saying throw it out, I knew they were talking from experience.
It was truly a great powerful feeling.
I am very frugal and now I know I won't just pick up a bottle at the store just to go throw it out. It was an important moment.

That's great! I'm sure that powerful feeling will come in handy in your sobriety. And everywhere else you need and/or like it of course.

Pick up your SR Sober Recovery Support
first before you ever pick up poison.

It still won't cost you as much as drinking it!
Pour it down if you have not already done so.
Edited: I saw you poured it down! Good job :
