Just making it through my second successful night of no wine. Proud but hoping I can keep it up.
About me: Working mom with young child. Very demanding and lucrative job. Sole breadwinner. Child has recently diagnosed high functioning autism. Love my wine to the tune of a bottle and a half each night. Pressure? What pressure??
gotta get it together.

You made it through the first night, you can make it through the second. Like you, I drank one to two bottles of wine every night for many years. I have 23 sober days behind me and I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for SR. You will find a lot of support here. I recommend the 24 Hour Connection thread. All the best to you, you can totally do this!
Hi, ralatty-
It's great to meet you! I am also a mom of young kids, and used to drink a bottle and a half of wine nightly too. Almost 10 months ago, with the support of the amazing people here, I was able to quit. I hope you can find your way, also .

Hi ralatty! We all understand what you're going through - and we know you can do this.
I once drank just for fun and to relax. Over the years it dominated my life - in the end, I drank every day - all day. My tolerance was huge - just like yours. I didn't know how I'd get along with out it - but when I came here, I found the strength & courage I needed. It helps to talk it out with those who've been there. We're here to help.

Welcome! I was all about the wine too, then switch to mixed drinks if I ran out. I get the pressure and work stress. I am finding I can manage it much better when my body and mind aren't bogged down in the fog of wine. I'm only on day 23, which feels like a million years since my last drink, but I can tell you it gets better even in the first month.
Welcome to the family. Wine was my downfall also. One to three bottles a day.
But with the support of my counselor and the good people here, I have been sober for over six years now and my life is better than ever.

Welcome to SR, and congrats on finishing up day 2!
I am a working mom as well, and my wine consumption mirrored yours. I tried to moderate, and went through periods of sobriety, but kept finding myself back to daily drinking. Tomorrow will be 70 days wine free for me, and SR has been my biggest support.
Looking forward to seeing you on here!
