Normally when I get stressed like this I turn to booze but it neva crossed my mind! Thank the Lord!
Congratulations on your 18 days without a drink.
A true accomplishment.

HALT -- we need to be careful not to get

Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired

Even with 8 years sober I'm still working on it!
Practice I have found does help.

Glad your bad day turned out successful with hopefully an excellent night sleep. I survived my dinner and made it through another day! Was nervous as the last time I got sober 9 years ago, he was the WORST - pouting, nagging, I had to walk out on him once because he wouldn't quit trying to pressure me to drink. Tonight, he asked if I minded if he had wine and wouldn't if that would make me uncomfortable. I almost fainted in shock. So it was odd, but painless and I can say this day is in the books as a success. Tomorrow will be my toughest challenge to date, so off for a good night's rest myself.
