Hey Gang,
I finished Day 1 of Orientation. It was kind of fun. We were paid for it too, so that makes it even nicer. Day 2 is on Monday.
I laughed at Trees' comment earlier too.
Nice view, Mesa. Nice shiny granite countertops too.
I get my store discount card in two weeks. I've already picked out the bathroom faucet and kitchen faucet, and a new kitchen sink. And the front door! Just not sure about the flooring yet.
My yoga clothes, mat, bag and stuff arrived yesterday. First day at yoga is tomorrow at 9 a.m. and I'm excited.
Oh... Lunar, those were spectacular sunset pics!

Mesa, I need to start looking for an older RV to live in while I build my cabin. I will use some of the money from the sale of the house to buy a little RV to put on the land.
We don't need a huge one. What do you think I should look for? We'll need a bathroom and kitchen, of course.
The cats can live outside. We have a cat tower/condo with cat beds and all. Dogs will sleep inside with us in the RV.

I just got back from work.
Well I suppose that's the main difference between myself and the Polish lady I work with:
I popped out for a takeaway coffee and out of her handbag she produced a container of (what looked like) raw broccoli and proceeded to chomp away!
Sorry, but I can't think of anything more miserable. Plus there is the fact that I would rather eat the leg of the table than raw broccoli...
(Of course my dad pointed out that you need to be a hardy soul to eat raw broccoli and maybe it was cooked and cold? Still broccoli is not a snack! A snack is something tasty)...
Yes, you do live there, don't you Della. I think of California most of the time. Is it in your face for residents too?
I googled sober tourism. It does exist. I also found out that Sober is in Spain. Now we can all be Sober if we dig out our passports and fly there.

Brrr.....it's really cold! Just cranked the heat up. I can't wait for warmer weather.
Lazy day here. Long dog walk, some work at home, and a nice long midday nap. Can't complain.
Soberpotamus. ....what orientation are you at?

My first time posting here, but I'm on board! Busy weekend (3 day weekend for me!) working in our new garden. Making some nice strawberry lemonade to keep cool! Keeping it real an healthy!! Happy weekend everyone!
SUID some people just can't eat raw broccoli. I like it but my kids don't. They like cooked. With cheese sauce.
HaF, sadly I'm betting there's a bunch of riojo and sherry in Sober, Spain. I've never been to Spain either. And I like tapas. No tapas bars for me.

It's the orientation for my part-time garden center job, HAF.
I was saying earlier how it's kind of odd, because I've worked there since October tending the plants outside, and so I got to know everyone as if I were already an employee.
Not sure if you remember, but I was working independently there for another company. The management really sucked and so I quit. The store hired me on directly. They didn't want to lose me!
So I will essentially be doing the same job, working with the plants, but just working as a regular employee. I'm paid more too!
I am still working on finishing up the proofreading course/certification as well.
