What would a 100 days sober mean to you?

Apart from the physical and emotional changes which I have already stated, I thought it would be interesting to look at things from a different angle!

100 days sober = £899.00 saved
Or:
408 regular Costa cappuccinos or.
20 pairs of new shoes or.
19 trips to the hairdressers or.
A holiday abroad

100 days sober = 85,500 calories not consumed from wine

The equivalent to:
42 days of food for average lady
106 portions of fish and chips
Or. Energy used to run 850 miles

Looking at things in a different perspective is a great way to breakdown why drinking is not only bad for our health , heads, pockets!

I still have days where I think about the wreckless me, but things are slowly changing . The urge to drink daily has gone, the commitment to staying sober is getting stronger.

Have a good weekend SR x

Congrats on 100 days! Yes, there are a lot of benefits to living sober. My favorite is waking up feeling good.

Waking up sober never bores me, the first glimpse in the bathroom mirror au naturel and not hating my reflection, but also when you know that your life isn't a car crash because of the previous night! X

The first 100 days was a turning point. It got me far enough along that I *knew* I wasn't going back to drinking. It was a good foundation to build on.

I've been at this point before J. In fact gone almost 2 years sober before! Need to learn not to get complacent and to keep appreciating how good sober feels x

congrats on 100 days.

What does 100 days mean? It means you can stay sober for 100 days. And if can do that, you can do 1000 days, and more.

To me it means the beginning of a new life. A life where alcohol doesn't call the shots. A life where I'm learning to be the person I always wanted to be

We had a great night of fun playing games etc looking at that now just now is pretty awesome

Excellent post & thread zlhzlh

Fantastic on 100 days! i think after I got a few months I was detoxed and I can sleep better and my anxiety lessened and I began to make eye contact and began to be present for others. I was on a Pink cloud but still not knowing that life can still throw curve balls and that I had to continue working on my steps and going to mtgs bc I was still fresh in recovery. It was easy to feel like I got this. Looking back I just didn't accept it would be a lifestyle that I couldn't graduate from and it was a daily reprieve. Just for today ~❤️

for me 100 days gave me hope I could really do this recovery thing as a permanent 'forever' deal
