Sobriety jar

Today I started a sobriety jar. For each day that I commit to not drinking and remaining sober I will add a stone. I selected a very large vase as I have a lifetime before me to fill it... And I placed it front and center in the kitchen to serve as a reminder of my progress and determination.

19 stones today :-)

I did something similar. I take the money I would have spent drinking all year and take a nice enjoyable vacation.

Nothing wrong with rewarding yourself

I send the approximate amount of money I would have spent drinking each week to a boy's treatment Ranch that my son spent a year at.

Thanks all, and for the kind comments :-). I'm always taken aback when someone says I've inspired them ... I'm working at being better at accepting compliments. I appreciate it and the positive statements 😊
