Given enough sober time, the life that initially looks boring unfolds to become what life can really be. It's easy to think that life has nothing to offer without alcohol when we're in the throes of drinking, but what amazes me is that the opposite is true.
The drinking life gave me nothing. It took from me. The sober life is giving me everything I've missed out on.

I achieved more today than I would have in a month when I was drinking! Ride out on the horse, galloped along the hills in this glorious spring sunshine, felt amazing! Then back to sort the garden, then out tonight with my son watching a film, home now and still busy sorting and tidying.....I love it! Pre sober days, pissed by 2pm, passed out by 7pm.....nothing achieved....what a waste of a life! Love SOBER
