Having failed to stay sober a number of times, I don't know how qualified I am to give advice, but I can say: hang in there. You're feeling overwhelmed right now, but those feelings won't kill you, I promise
It's so good to meet you, sherijo. Welcome. Please stay with us - we understand, and we can help.
I felt the same way when I first came here. I couldn't imagine living without the thing I counted on to help me 'cope'. But it was a false friend. I got numb, but nothing was resolved - my anxiety was through the roof - my life was on hold. It feels wonderful to be free. You can do this.

welcome, sherijo.
i knew i wanted to quit. no "i think" about it.
and it was scary anyway
but there was that other level, too, on which i was looking forward to "real", including pain. i wanted "real" really badly.
alcohol is your comfort. you will find other ways to comfort yourself. there are many. and in all likelihood you'll find that not everything requires comforting for.
congratulations for showing up!
