I'm so tired.
I'm on my way home after an aftercare meeting. I can never sleep the night after these meetings.
There are always several woman with big smiles, too much makeup and the cold dead eyes telling us that they had a relapse a few days ago or whatever and their families were very upset, but "it's in the past now and I'm in a good space now". And they keep parroting on about "being in a good space" like they are trying to believe it themselves.

So yeah, I'm tired and a little emotional.

GoingNowhere, just make sure that you do eat. So many times I've confused hunger for an urge to drink. Same with extreme thirst. You'll get back to the things you enjoy. Give yourself time.

Bodhi, I'm pretty sure Sao does a vegetarian week and sometimes eats meat on the weekend. It's certainly doable. I've found I don't eat a lot of meat.

you ain't lived until you made toast over an electric stove...

talk about getting overed by alcohol... there is a good chance I am not employable because of my 'record'... at least not in the big leagues...

speaking of which, I am amazed that they actually broadcast spring training games...

Tetra - focus on yourself... don't worry about what other people do.

If I worried about what other people did all the time I would go nuts.

pepper rings, I eat these like candy... and I reuse the 'juice' to store my own peppers in the summer...

A little pampering was long overdue for me... Fresh haircut and a manicure. Much better!

Have y'all seen this monkey at his salon? So cute!

what kind of peppers do I grow? the rainbow of bells, anaheim and a couple long peppers, cayenne, jalapeno, poblano, some short hot yellow variety, a hybrid orange mexican pepper etc. I had a dozen pepper plants last year... from sweet to hot, gave up on habaneros because they produced a ton but not very useful unless I take the time to jar hot suace - which I don't... just cut fresh salsa with the half dozen varieties or more of tomatoes we grow...
I'm thinking of jarring beans this year and making a hot variety, got me kentucky wonder seeds to grow long peppers for the jar...

since my birthday is about a month away, here's a recipe one of you can make and bring over...
Big crock pot
Pork shoulder
Big jar of pepperoncini including juice
Packet of good seasons ranch or Italian dressing mix
Put everything in crock pot and let it cook for a long time
Then using a couple forks, pull apart the pork
mix it up and let it stew for little longer
Use either club rolls or Kaiser rolls
Put a slab of sharp provolone on the bun
Cover it with lots of pork and peppers
And grab a couple napkins…

Your pork recipe sounds delicious, Brain. I'm looking forward to smoking weather so I can smoke up a big pork shoulder.

Pepper rings rock! So do vegetarians

Busy workday! Finally! When we're slow I'm always worried I'll get let go.

Craving chocolate right now but all I've got are lifesavers.

Sounds like you have a good plan for getting through the weekend Goingnowhere. Each successive weekend will get a little easier. Just float with whatever your body or brain throws your way.

I start work early and work late so I get an extra day off. Its great to be around for an extra day but I hate leaving the family alone for so long. We are isolated where we live. I think Mrs B is struggling at the mo, coupled with teething sleep deprivation. Hopefully this will pass soon.

Leftover veggie chilli for dinner, with a side order of wholegrain basmati rice and quinoa. Washed down with a glass of full fat, full sugar, full caffeine coke, my new vice.

LB's growing description reminds me I need to sow some seeds in our little vegetable patch soon.

The chipotle black bean burgers are outstanding. They are full of veggies ... peppers, beans, corn, and lots of spices and herbs. I melted sharp cheddar on top. So good!!

Surprisingly, the quinoa as turned out to be somewhat difficult for me. Who'd have thought? I'm choking on it.

I'm having to wash the quinoa down with a hippie drink ... some sort of pomegranate-geranium flower water, lol.

Oh, no, SoberP! That's a drag. I wouldn't have thought that of quinoa. Hopefully you're better now.

Brain, that pork recipe sounds delicious and I'm going to write it down. I should have asked what kind of peppers you DON'T grow in your garden. I keep putting in bell peppers but I don't get much production from them. What is the key to getting actual peppers?

I'm still choking it down, but it's ok. Really hungry, and there's plenty of liquid to wash it down, lol.
