18 Months
Today marks I8 months of sobriety for me. I feel so incredibly greatful. I am happy, content, and present, and I have control over my life. I am at peace, and I have (finally) made peace with my past. I call the shots now, not alcohol. I wish for every struggling alcoholic to find the serenity that a sober life brings. Do whatever it takes, then protect it like a newborn. I know I am but one bad decision away from being in that hellhole again. I hope and pray that I never return to that point.
