Respect
Some of the best people I know are drug people. Living with the possibility, 24/7, with the option to just take a drink or a pill and supplant all the misery, and refusing. I sincerely hope that by the time I hit 1 year, the cravings will be tolerable, though I am told they never go away completely.
Congratulations on staying strong for so long. That couldn't have been easy, but you did it none the less.

Fantastic, MoS! Thank you for sharing this unique milestone!
Newcomers, it may seem so far away for you to see these big numbers but the truth is people like MoS and MIR -- and all of us who've been around a while -- all started where you are. These milestones, which are a frequent feature here, really serve a great purpose: It really is possible to relegate alcoholism/addiction to the past.
