So far so good!!!

Hi everyone

This is my first post though I've been reading the posts on and off for years! But this time I really mean it! I am on day 4 and so far I can't believe I havn't suffered with the shakes and cravings! I found one particular post by EternalIQ called something like name one thing you did in the early stages particularly useful and I have been reading it over and over again as it is so helpful! But logged on today and can't find it! Please can someone post the thread for me if possible.

Many many thanx for this brilliant website!

Good for you Spadge. Now what is the one small thing you are going to do differently today? Take a different route home? Catch up on a hobby or reading? Email old friends? Eat something great for dinner?

I try to change one little thing, I never set and do nothing during the time I use to drink. Amazing how little I crave when I'm busy with something else.

Best Wishes

Good decision Spadge, and I hope you continue to do whatever you need to stay sober.

Hi there

Tonite all family went to pub for a birthday meal and I drank diet pepsi all night! Didn't bother me one bit that others were drinking alcohol! I am so proud of myself because believe me I really did abuse alcohol xx

Great to meet you, Spadge. It helps to be among those who care and understand.
Congrats on your Day 4 - that's wonderful news.
