Hi,Ive been trying to sort out my alcoholism for over 2 years now.Been into rehab on 3 occassions and in psychiatric unit once.Big difficulty for me is going to groups and actually talking about how I feel honestly...when I'm low and really should be reaching out is when I'm least likely to do so.I know this isn't a substitute for actually going to groups but wondered if having contact here might help.
Don't really know what else to say at moment...I'm a doctor (currently not working) and also have depression and an eating disorder.Oh and I'm a Capricorn if that makes any difference to anyone...😜

Welcome, Bailey.
I think being here can help a lot. I don't consider myself to be much of a group person, either. Reading and posting here have helped me to sort out my perspective and to be confident enough about that to speak in real life about that. I'm in Intensive Outpatient and it's working out well.
Do you have access to a medical professional group where you are?
Either way, glad you are here!

Yes there is a doctors/dentist group which I did go to this morning.Have also joined an AA group but when feeling down it becomes difficult to get myself there...or have actually driven to groups and then just decided to sit in the car instead of going in.
