I blacked out a lot, too. I was also abusive to my girlfriends and other friends. I alienated everyone in my life. And you know what? I didn't care All I cared about is where my next drink was coming from. I embarrassed myself through my selfishness of being a constant drunk many times No one wanted to know me except other drunks. :scoregood |
Welcome eyeblink! I too am on a journey to delve deeper into the work it will take to maintain my sobriety. We can do this! |

You sound like me at 24, only I did nothing to try to stop it for another 9 years. Your 20s can disappear in a blink if you keep at it in this fashion, believe me I know. Welcome aboard, congrats on being proactive and realizing the time is now to change. Welcome Eyeblink. You will find the support you need here. |
Welcome! And kudos for starting this journey at age 24...I didn't until some bad mental issues (anxiety/depression) and some medical issues surfaced when I was 41. Hang in there! :) |
