Vicodins are ruining my life! Hi, I'm Josh, I'm 26 and I have been taking Vicodins for about 8years now. About 15 a day if I have the $. I've been clean of them for 6days today! And I felt great all day, no withdraws, had energy! But then my family member that lives with me told me that they were going to get some, and once I heard that my mind started telling me that I needed it but my body said no if that makes scenes. So at about 8pm I screwed everything up and asked for just 1! And I took it, but it didn't affect me at all which is weird lol so when I go to bed is it day 1 again?? When I wake up, or still say day 6?? I hate these pills so much. I just needl someone to help me and give me tips on how to overcome this Hell! So if your reading this and know what I'm going threw please HELP me :) thank you |

If this family member is bad for your recovery then it would be valuable for you to reevaluate the dynamics of your relationship with them. |
Yea I agree. It's just hard when you have no where else to go. |

Welcome Josh |
If you deliberately took one, then yes, tomorrow is day one. You have to be honest with yourself. |
Welcome to the forum. |
Does your family member know that you are trying to quit? You might want to think about moving out. At least you felt good with out the Vic's! You know you are good with out them! |
I think you're very lucky to have had no physical withdrawal symptoms when you were stopping. It sounds like the mental part of the recovery will be harder and I think that's true for most of us. If there is any way to distance yourself from this particular family member, that would be a good idea. You can do this! |
