Been sober...
For 37 days now.. Work is better(busier than ever!) with a clear head, actually everything is better. Finally have my sleep pattern back to beyond normal(sleep from 10pm-5/6am).. It's nice to not have the shakes or cravings anymore. Going to a super bowl party tomorrow that's going to be my first real 'test' since crashing my truck and ending up in jail.. I WILL not drink at this party! I feel that if I do,I will die from booze and that's simply not going to happen to me!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their new year!

Ironically this song,I've never heard, was playing in the background while I typed that.. Had to go back and listen again.. It's me to a T when I drank.

I do. I've decided I can never drink with control. I am a problem drinker. The approach/plan I'm using is like a bad relationship with a woman. If she's proved time and time again not good for me,why try again? If I feel an urge, I'll leave and go home. I've been to bars for work meetings and to hangout with friends since I stopped. It's actually an eye opener for me of what a jackass I was while drinking while people watching.

I'm a little behind you with only 21 days but I feel the same way about a superbowl party tomorrow. My wife was worried that I'd want to drink but I just feel too good now for the first time in a long time to mess it up tomorrow. Great job and go Broncos!

hi Dontremember, I posted earlier that this will be my 3rd superbowl sober, but my first not being hungover from Saturday. For what its worth, its worth it. When Monday rolls around and everyone is feeling horrible, you'll be ready for "life".
