First steps
Hi, I have bipolar and my same sex partner has a serious problem with addiction to alcohol and cannabis. He can be violent when drunk, and is in total denial. I am very happy to have found a website I can relate to and look forward to having the courage to write here from time to time.

Welcome to SR Aleximark, I hope your partner will come to his senses soon. In the meantime make sure you take care of yourself.

Very sorry to hear about what you're going through with your partner, it's important though to be safe, violence is never justified in any circumstance, if it's towards you.

I'm sorry for your situation with your partner. Violence is never okay and I hope you know you don't have to stay in a situation like that. I do hope your partner will stop drinking, but I also really hope that you protect yourself.
