It would be nice to wake up sober. And on time. And not feel nauseous in the morning.
Good for you!
This is my first sober night so I will wake up sober tomorrow. If I ever actually fall asleep that is. It is 4am and I am wide awake.

Yes!
It was one of the many things I'd been taking for granted before I relapsed and one of the first things I missed about being sober afterward when I drank again. I'd forgotten how wonderful it feels to wake up each day clear-headed and guilt-free. I'm still grateful for it every morning.

I woke up this morning feeling groggy and thought to myself 'am I okay to drive...maybe I drank too much last night?' Then I remembered that I haven't had alcohol for 18 days! ☺ it was a good feeling.

Yes I agree. What was once the worst part of the day has become the best part of my day. I'm now getting up almost 2 hours earlier before leaving the house for work. I'm on day 15 and still waiting for a burst of sober energy to hit me. (I'm tired, emotional and very itchy) good mornings are indeed what helps get through the rough nights.
