I screw up my soberity
Hi guys,
I did pick up a drink Not because of cravings but because I work in a bar and I'm having a lot of stress in my life, if I'm not at work/bar I don't have ANY cravings ever and when I'm there is not a craving either is because I have to make money and I'm in a high pressure with bills coming up/due.
Well after I have the first we all know what happened I had many more, today I'm sick but very Sad I'm physical depressed and I'm always happy when I'm sober even in the middle of my problems.
I don't want to have my 17 years old son feels sad for me too, I feel alone I need you guys!
I can say tomorrow will be my day 1 again which sucks but I have to restart, I'm already applying for other jobs outside of bars and I'm waiting for responses.
Thank you for reading😢❤️

I worked in a busy, popular, high volume bar/restaurant for many years and didn't drink. I even quit smoking while I worked there. It can be done.
I stopped drinking not long after I started working there. I was there for ten years. It just wasn't an option in my mind.

I know it can be done I did worked before without drinking but I guess I'm very unhappy with this job for years that is why I'm back at college studying to became a dental hygienist but will take me close to 3 years to finish. So I'm applying for other jobs and not so lucky lately it all came out to how much experience I have in other fields so is been very difficult for me for a while but I have hope and a plan than things will change for the way I need to be happy and sober.
Hi Alegre.
Sending you love, and good luck on your job applications!
We are all different ~ I wouldn't do too well working around alcohol. I think it's a great idea to try and find another job right now.
I am hoping you are feeling a bit better now, and that you drank lots of water, and that tomorrow is a much better day for you!
Thinking of you. ♥

I can imagine it would be very difficult to work in a bar and try to stay sober. I bartended when I was younger and I drank the entire time.
Can you think of anything you might be able to do right now until you find another job? How about making sure you always have a non-alcoholic drink available? Or perhaps you could ask your supervisor if there are some other jobs there that you could do that don't put you right there with the alcohol in your hand the whole time? Chew gum to keep your mouth busy?

I saw something on here where somebody stated it was his/her day 84 of 85 (one day he/she drank). I like the idea of that. It feels like less punishment that going from months sober to day one again. Just my personal thoughts. Good luck on day 1. Sounds like you are able to resist for the most part

a solid recovery plan is a really great thing to have - it may even help you deal better with some of that other stuff
