You know you're an alcoholic when

You drink so much that you throw up, and then, you start drinking strait after until you feel tired. Well that's the stage I'm up to right now

Been there. Done that. Active addiction is a living hell.
Glad you found these boards.
If you want to be sober take steps to make it happen.
Good luck to you!

One thing I have learned through my years of drinking, researching how not to drink, and multiple failed attempts to stop drinking, is that if you are waiting for someone to deliver the solution to you, you will be waiting forever. Someone isn't going to show up at your door with a manual for quitting, a magical pill to make you forget you want to drink, or stand over your shoulder every time you are about to make a bad decision. Until you decide you are responsible for your own sobriety and you are committed to seeking it out, there will always been an excuse to fall back on or someone else to blame for your drinking problem.

I hope you make the decision to quit for your sake. Until then, no one can help you take the first step.

It is morning now in your location ozm8ey, hopefully you will make today different - post on SR before you pick up the first drink. You're not alone in this, we have all been where you were a few hours ago

Been there too Oz.

Like saoutchik says, it's a new day - I hope you decide it's the day to make a change

It sounds like drinking is not much fun any longer. That's a good time to quit.
