Thumbs up My first day
This is my day 1 after being away for too long. I'm desperate to stop destroying my life with booze, countless drunken wasted years, just want to be sober and happy. I'm retired and longing for sobriety. Thanks for being there!

Welcome back! I didn't stop until staying that way was hurting me bad enough.

Stick around; by all means you can have a better life if you're willing to put some work into it. For starters, this is a great place for support.
