Hey, I'm a 30 year old guy with his fair share of substance abuse problems. Started with ecstasy actually, then smoked a lot of pot (never really had a problem with that), did my fair share of drinking (some would say I have a problem in that area), but the problem really started with cocaine and opiated. I love em. I'm an opiate addict and have been so for almost a decade. Been on methadone and suboxone. Kicked em a few times, but always managed to get hooked back on that lovely feeling. I've been on suboxone for 6 months, but still using other things to bring me pleasure. Recently I found a guy with the opiates I love. I had a two week run with them and now trying to go back to suboxone is cause me to be in withdrawal. That's what brought me here. I need support. Maybe this was what I needed to remind me how bad withdrawal truly was. I'd give anything to just be back on subs and not have to worry about this withdrawal. Anyways. That's my story.
Have you talked to your clinic about all of this? In Australia we have counsellors/medical staff linked to the dispensing clinics. It's also time you started lovin' yourself rather than the opiates. It can happen.
