Congratulations Melina! 8 months is terrific. One day at a time.

Sao, I'm with you. I tell my kids to leave the bees alone because they are good for the garden and the environment but I'm not going to keep them. I salute you all who want to keep them.

Got an extra assignment at work. I have to stave off boredom somehow and be productive but I've gotten so used to doing not much that I have to get motivated.

Yay Melina!

Thanks BixBees, we need people like you

LOL squared - just had a fraught call from the Boss, he activated the alarm and then realised he didn't know the new code numbers. Even down the phone it sounded loud. Tee Hee

Bodhi, I do better not thinking about how many days sober, too. Someday I hope to be able to relish it. Right now it leads to obsession for me, and that way there be dragons!

Yes exactly- in the past I've had a tendency to reward myself for not drinking- by drinking.
I just don't drink anymore and if I stick with that I seem to be ok.

I am having a GREAT day today, on top of several great days last week. Not easy days, but truly good and productive. Last time I felt like this, I fell right off my bike. I am staying very very clear and focused...but calm, very calm.

Congrats dear Melina!

I've never had a desire to keep bees. Had them in my eaves once and it was cool watching the removal and got lots of honeycomb and honey, but that's as close to beekeeping as I ever want to get! I support all you beekeepers thoroughly, though!!

Oh and I'm all for Team Bim too, although I think I missed how it came about lol!

Quick lunch break. Literally ran Into Target to exchange something then to the bank then to drop stuff off at a friends now eating my half peanut butter sandwich and apple yum! I hate rushed lunches but at least I can mark a few things off my list yay!!!
Xo

well, I just registered for my saltwater 'permit' online. After cleaning up and sorting through hunting stuff, I moved on to fishing stuff. Hung up my trout vest and saw my expired PA license in the holder. I purchased new one last week and went to exchange new for old, discovered my expired saltwater permit and that got me to register for that too. The PA trout 'rodeo' opens in 2 months. I usually catch a few for the grill so as to recoup my money for the license. Then sport fish the rest of the year. It's ridikuluss the PA trout season around here. Stock fish to be caught as fast as possible by the "fishermen" who don't fish the rest of the year or for anything else. Fish Killers! But it's okay cause these fish won't survive the summer in the local small streams. But this one close is a class A trout stream. I wish they wouldn't stock it.

Hung up a closet bar I had been saving, and organizing the basement. Fishing stuff is gonna take some time. There are categories of fishin stuff. From 2lb test rods to 50lb test rods. I realize I have a LOT of stuff. All good!
Need to get kayaks registered as well. You'd think a kayak wouldn't need it - welcome to PA. If you paddle in PA boat commission waters, you need to register. I saw a guy get tagged while camping using a blowup pos little raft a couple years ago. He could barely maneuver the thing close to shore. But joe ranger sped over to him to make sure he had a sticker, then proceeded to kick him off the water. gimme a break...

back to the dungeon...

Had three cups of coffee today while trying to focus. Pity my new boss is such a smartass. When I took this I knew I would be taking over from one of the women who is leaving. She only worked there one day a week and dealt mostly with accounts. She was showing me how to do things today, when all of a sudden The Boss joined us from behind and said "Oh Jane, it's a pity you are leaving. It will take Tetra five days a week to do the jobs you got done in one day!"
So Jane was saying "No way! She'll be fine with a little practice".
I'm glad someone has confidence in me!
What a ****!
Well my Dad did say "what were you expecting from a Property Management company?"

Congrats Melina!

Tetra, it was most likely that guy trying to make the person leaving "feel good"
and not really aimed at you. . . poor judgement, but that's how I read it.
Besides, you are building your resume for something better so this won't
be forever. . .

Congrats Melina on 8 months
and thank you everyone for a very enjoyable weekend sobriety ride
