Friday night dough hooks
Sitting here watching my dough hook knead bread and it's incredibly meditative. Probably more therapeutic to do it myself but I don't want to make the mess. Watching it is mesmerizing. Irrational me is upset i won't see my SO until Sunday, a week since I last saw him. Rational me knows I made a choice not to go to the work party at his company tomorrow night. Irrational me kneads to make Turkish flatbread and middle eastern cheese. From scratch. To make my irrational chest align with my rational brain.
So I'm watching this dough hook.

Watching The dough rise now.
Roommate invited me to dinner at my favourite restaurant. I worked 75 hours this week and would love a delicious dinner and know I'd be able to drink water and concentrate on the food. Sadly I'm also trying to save money... So I had to decline.
Will enjoy the satisfaction of making this bread and going to bed early.
This might be the most dull post I've ever thumbed out.

I think I was being glib. About as interesting as watching paint dry.
Making Turkish flatbread with nigella and sesame seeds. Just needed an activity as I hibernate away from my social life until I'm ready.

I don't bake often, but have been known to make my share of bread and pizza. Made each last week that were well received. That's the context. What compelled me to write beyond the fact that you are engaging in an activity that is fulfilling and will yield positive results on many fronts is that I really don't like to hand knead so I do most of it via machine.
No Zen feeling for me so I keep it to a minimum; some always has to be done, but....enjoy the results of your efforts.

Hi Water as you are saving mix up a bit of dough for yourself. Groan. I stare at walls sometimes Ariesagain and have noticed they need cleaning. Great. Might save it for another not Zen day. Sober's good irrespective of dough hooks, screen savers and walls. We're doing good.
