Oh, HaF, I'm chillaxing too. I could do some housework but nah. Forget about it.

Mosquito repellent, BigS. Have fun!

Melki, could you make a cup of hot tea or cocoa? Something that will bring a bit of soothing into your world at the moment?

This is undeniably a huge shock. I wish I could reach through the internet right now and give you a massive hug. Somehow, someday, this will not be the jolt it is right now. Sometimes, you just need to operate with the faith that you are a wise woman, one who will handle this situation with grace and dignity.

Sometimes, the hardest things seem insurmountable. But they really aren't.

Your SR family will hold you close.

Try to get some sleep. It will help you get through this process with clarity.

Venecia is right, Melki. You're a smart woman and you will be able to handle this. Believe in yourself and be gentle with yourself. Take some deep breaths and know that all will be well

Melki, when I get overwhelmed and panicky and my head is spinning and thoughts are racing I start making a list of my fears. Doesn't even have to be legible or in any kind of order but it gets it out of my head and helps me get a handle on what I'm dealing with. I can come back to it and add stuff or remove stuff or revise stuff. It's a way to see it and work through it. Or just see it and think about it. Might totally not be your thing but I wanted to give you something practical that's helped me sort through some very overwhelming situations.
Xoxo

Hi Melki,

Sending lots of love and prayers your way. Try to get some sleep tonight, and tomorrow maybe go for a walk, or to the beach/mountains... Somewhere you can just sit/hike and think.

Do you have family or friends close by who can spend the day with you?

Please let us know how you are doing.

❤️Delilah

the wind is blowing something chronic !

just getting my 30 min SAD lamp dose with a caffeine free coffee , stress yesterday is through to acceptance today. Work is a minor part of my life and they are getting me at a bargain price .
I like to pride myself on solving sticky issues but maybe i need to lower my own standards a bit and step back , try to look after my own side of the street .

Storm Gertrude has not reached London yet, it is windy though.

Pshyching myself up as I have to speak to someone about their work (or more accurately the lack of it). This the part of the job I most dislike. I could be sneaky and leave it for when the boss gets back but that would be unfair on his co workers. Uh!

My tube station at 7:15 am

Friday afternoon in South Africa. Ready to head home from work. Weekends really are difficult. Have a optometrist appointment for the family tomorrow.

Might make something yummy to eat tonight. I've been in love with Rooibos Tea lately and that has become my night cap.

Going to try and workout with the kids over the weekend and see how it goes. We are not usually successful.

Happy weekend everyone!

Random Twitter Update:

I continue to be on Twitter to market both my business and the professional organization for which I am the PR director. I don't really get Twitter. It seems to be 99% people talking past each other. Everyone is posting their business card on the bulletin board, but no one stops to read them. But, alas, all of the social marketing material I read says, "You gotta be on Twitter, Man!" So I am on Twitter.

I've been posting what I think are useful tidbits of information and links to decent articles and whatnot. They are mostly ignored (in much the same way I ignore the crap other people are posting). Yesterday I was reading an article that suggested personalizing your tweets. Talk about yourself.

So I took a sip of my coffee, which was quite good, and tweeted "Look out world - the coffee is good today!"

22 favorites and 9 retweets later it is by far the most popular piece of content I have ever tweeted.

And I still don't get Twitter.
