What's up melki? Hoping you're well.....
Calm weekend here - going to drive to the Pacific tomorrow down by the El Salvador/Guatemala border. Got a 'lil hotel for me and the lady friend, should be a serene weekend. Temps are blazing: 34c/93f today. I'll be hopping "ooh-oww-ooch" with my burned footsies to the water and back. Aside from that, it'll be pretty tranquilo. No plans, just Sun, Sand, and Sea Breezes.
One of my neighbors celebrated a birthday last night! But....only some of us neighbors were invited to the party. I was not one of them. That kinda thing used to bother me - but I'm pretty happy being on the outside of the party scene. If I'd had been invited, I would have found an excuse in the bag not to attend. But I wasn't asked. Guess my "I don't drink & party" is so well-rehearsed by now that everyone knows the drill.
Instead of a birthday party, I went to bed at a reasonable hour, listened to a podcast, and woke up to grind a brew some fresh coffee and enjoy the morning. I'll take that over a party invite any day.

I'm having a super yuck day too and I always find comfort in knowing there are so many others here on SR to travel the recovery journey with when things are going well and when things not so much.

Boy, oh boy, does this topic hit home right now.
I've been on an emotional roller-coaster for days now. Work has had my insides all twisted up. Boss is on one of her infamous passive-aggressive rampages and it has left me bordering on being a wreck.
The good news? The days when this would have had me headed straight for the bottle are long behind me, thanks to sobriety and SR. And folks like all of you. I am grateful.

Brain, what a rotten experience. I've heard that Microsoft will never call you if you're having issues-that those calls are a scam. I hope you get it resolved.
