Grateful to find this group!
My first post how exciting! I have had many firsts in sobriety. The first time I said "Hi I am Louisa and I am an alcoholic" I was confused because I heard the words. They were from me and then I burst into tears.
That was on June 18, 1998. Hold on...it's going to be Life on Life's Terms Now and after awhile acceptance happens, friend's happens, fellowships happens and I learned how to be a real woman, friend, mother and proud member of AA. So I am new to this forum forgive me for any weird things I may post (don't worry not too weird!)
I live in northern CA. It was my dream to live here and lately I would like to hear silence and go to a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I manage a co-ed clean and sober home. However it is more men than women..6 men..2 women plus me (a woman). So far so good...Have a great day It is truly beautiful today!!

Back to reposting!
I have been so busy and haven't checked my email in too long to admit! I hope everyone is doing great and if you aren't it's ok. There are solutions. Grab your key and go to a meeting! If there is not a meeting right now read your big book, call your sponsor or your friends (sober ones of course)Tough times when you have to kick someone out of sober living but worse times when you have to go to a funeral. There are so many stories out there that can verify that simple fact. I have asked my God for answers and what do HE do??? He plops someone down right in front of me...normally a complete stranger that needs more help than I do. That's right, it sounds ridiculous especially if you are new but it is not. It will get you out of your self-pity, resentment, anger, loss of hope. It WILL help you! Have a fabulous day. It is in the 70's out here in the San Francisco Bay area!!!
