Second time around
Just wanted to take a moment to say hello. I was 34 days sober and doing well, having an easy time actually, and then one stressful day led to a bottle of white wine. So now I'm on day 2 (again), and I really want this time to stick. The only person IRL I've talked to about my problem with alcohol is my husband, who is a regular drinker, but who is supporting my decision to stop. I'm just not ready to talk to anyone else in person yet. But I feel like I do really need to connect with someone, hopefully on this website. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Welcome to SR. It's great you came here. I use SR and AA meetings for support because I know I can't do this alone.
Do you have a plan? It's relatively easy to quit when things are going well. It's not so easy when things aren't going so well. Bad days happen to everyone, it's what we do to get through it without drinking that makes a difference.
Keep coming back. It's nice to meet you.
