Shaky hands

Hi guys, thanks for the great content here, it helped me alot.

So I am now in my fourth day of sobriety, everything is going better than i expected. First day was hell but it slowly got better on day 2, and day 3 was great. Went back to the gym and felt great.
Now day 4, went to the gym again. I feel positive and have no issue with depression whatsoever.
My only issue is my damn hands shaking.
I had been drinking heavily for about 5 months straight, at least half a bottle of vodka on top of 2-3 beers everynight.
I decided to stop because for the past week or two, i had to get some vodka in me to stop the shaking before it even started.
So it IS a little bit better now, but the shaking is still there somehow.

How long should I expect until it gets back to normal?

Welcome

I think it varies from person to person basstank.

If the shaking is really debilitating it's probably a good idea to check in with your doctor?

For me, the shaking and anxiety went away after about a week. See your doctor if you're worried.

I appreciate all the answers guys! Thank you very much.
I really don't think I need to go to the doctor, it not worrying me. More on the annoying end of the spectrum.
I play bass for a living and i managed to play as usual so i think I will be good to go by the end of the week.
Thanks!

Congrats on day 4!

Might be a good idea to get a doctor/GP check up anyway as part of your recovery plan. Living sober means committing to living healthy.

Best of luck,

B

great job on your four days!

You won't believe how much better you will sleep and feel in a month.
