Through the weekend!
I realize this may not sound like much, but I made it through Fri and Sat! Woo hoo! I am only 4 days sober, but getting through a weekend was a big test I had for myself.
I owe it to all of u and the two AA MTGS I went to Thu and Fri.
:-) I Bbb have started having those thoughts from my AV saying, "maybe you don't need to quit. U can have a few and be fine." Now I know that is just my AV. Never had a name before.

Good job. Keep ignoring the AV. It'll keep trying but as you see, you don't have to listen to it.

I had to say, "I don't drink," to myself a lot in those early days. It gets easier.
On the AV...Addictive Voice...just remember, you can't let a lion out of its cage a little at a time.
Stay away from that first drink, no matter what. Don't touch it. At all.

Hi KM,
I'm on day5, pretty much the same as yourself. I want to tell everyone how good and 'normal' I've been but I wont. I'm very tired, bored and itchy as hell. I read on one of the posts that no level of drunkness can feel as good as being sober. I keep repeating that to myself.
Roll on work Monday morning.
