6 Months!
 

I'm 6 months sober today! I couldn't be more excited; this seemed like an impossible feat just a short while ago.

I'm already reaping so many of the benefits of sobriety: my anxiety, which I battled for many years, is pretty much gone. I've been off my anxiety meds for several months now and I feel better than I did when I was on meds. My relationship with my daughter has never been better. She is so much happier having a sober mom. My self-esteem is much higher. And even my skin looks good again.
Life isn't perfect, but I have the energy that drinking was sapping so I can handle whatever comes my way.

I know there are still more battles to fight. Lately, at night my AV has been trying to tell me that I may be able to go back to moderate drinking because I've done so well over the last 6 months. Hahaha, AV! Good try, but I'm not buying it so go suck it!

I could never have made it to 6 months without the support and advice I've found here on SR from all of you wonderful members and from the amazing moderators, Anna, Scott, and Dee. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
