Emotions to PAWS

I feel a little bit like a child.

I find every few weeks I get all this built up stress and emotion. I won't be able to sleep. I'll be productive but also just frazzled. Then it all comes to a big emotional head, I freak out for a few days, then I'm exhausted and sleep like a rock.

Anyone else? I'm kind of worn out from it. Like a kid throwing a temper tantrum and then needing a nap, but on an adult time frame.

I can relate to that 100%.
These feelings caused me to relapse. I threw that tantrum..
Early sobriety is hard, the only advice I can give is not to consider drinking as an option. It only makes things so much worse.

Give yourself a pat on the back for dealing with these emotions sober. Living life on life's terms.
You are processing, and although it's not pleasant you are learning. Getting stronger.

It will pass friend, life's is hard. You will be so much stronger in the long run

Early recovery is rough. We walled up all these feelings for so long - now the dam is broken.

The waters will settle...give it time

Sigh. Thanks. Sometimes it's hard to feel like any progress is being made.

Feelings are so lonely.

Just a thought.....I realized I needed therapy in addition to sobriety....one on one counseling sessions have helped me process feelings I've been repressing for years. The stuff I drank to numb away.

If feelings continue to keep bubbling up, I highly recommend therapy....with a good therapist. Just a thought!
