Just joined SR, but I'm on day 8!

Hello all,

I stopped drinking last Monday, January 11th. Last night, I made it to a full 7 days, and today I'm working on day 8. I've been lurking the SR forums without an account, and it has helped me greatly to read all of the tips, stories, and accomplishments of you all. I decided to come out of the shadows and sign up and start posting. So, this is just a 'hello' and a 'thank you' for keeping me going in the first week of my recovery.

Thank you all! Eventually, I suppose I'll post my story and give more info about myself and my ex-relationship with alcohol.. For now, it feels good just to be here!

Thank you everyone!! I still have quite a journey ahead of me but I'm pushing through with the help of my very patient boyfriend and all the posts on SR.

Now if only I could get past the dreams I've been having..

I too am on day 8! I didn't realize at first but 11116 is our recovery date. I don't follow numerology but have noticed, on spiritual ig/fb accounts I follow, that 1s in succession have significance to opening new doors (in short

I'm very excited/scared about this new way of life. Made it through my first party with out drinking yesterday. I say overall right now I feel very optimistic. Thanks for this post!
