One Week Today

So funny, but being in a different city, on a FT recovery schedule with no difference between weekdays and weekends, I've actually lost track of time.

I thought I was at a week yesterday but actually TODAY is one week.

I'm feeling well in body/mind/spirit and actually did my first exercise in several months yesterday. Walked about a mile and a half on a treadmill, moderate pace.

I had many concerns about setting life down and devoting this time to detox/recovery but I have no regrets now. Biggest concern is the financial hit, but you can't put a price on your health/life.

Making good progress in adding more detail to my plan complete with recovery goals. And I also did a good job yesterday in managing some unplanned free time. Since I had a plan this time, I knew better than to remain idle during those hours.

And, LOL, I guess I'm officially one of you now. Two nights in a row I've had nightmares that I relapsed.

Phase I of recovery is underway! And I am so grateful that I was led to get help this time! What a difference it is making!

Congratulations.

I have loved reading your posts and am delighted things are going so well.

My date is just a few days before your so lets stick in this together -- not my first rodeo, but its my last.

Great to hear!
If you didn't spend this money on detox/recovery, how much would you spend on alcohol over the next year? Don't forget the cost of gatorade and tylenol for the hangover?!
You've made a good investment.

Let's do this thing! This is my third try but I'm approaching it differently this time, with an "all in" attitude and somehow it just feels right.

You've made a good investment.

I spent about $5500/yr on alcohol, not counting lost sales due to incapacitation. So, ROI in under three years.

Another way to look at it is the treatment costs about the same as a decent funeral...so take your pick, LOL!
