Nice work Sao!!!! Agree pictures.

Minions!!!!! hi BIM

I just have no energy. So I will do nothing! That's seems to be the correct thing to do.

6 heads of romain in a massive bag for $5! So lots of salad and roasted romaine. Shaved parm.

Picked up a pound of large shrimp. Plan on making a thick spaghetti with a drizzle of lemon infused olive oil, chopped parsley shrimp and capers. That sounds so darn fresh I want to cook now but need to wait.

So Henry. He is aweful today. I don't think he has long. I am going to stop in the vet tomorrow to ask about end of life care. How do I know when it's time. What do I do if he passes? How do we take care of things after that. I want to be prepared and make sure he has the most comfort possible. I keep holding him and he just looks at me. Silly look on his face. He has been an amazing buddy. I cried holding him asking to be sober and stop drugs so many times. He saw it all.

K

day 13, got to find a fix for the anxiety that hits me the moment I open my eyes in the morning, like an electric shock. Did a meditation video, going to start on the "big book" I got from AA. Then watch football (and force myself to eat and drink lots of water)

strugglingJim, I get that too. It is the body's release of hormones just before waking. It is getting you ready to Get Up And Go! It's really ramped up in early sobriety.

I used to get up and run in place or do jumping jacks first thing when I got out of bed because it was so intense. I still do it sometimes while my coffee is brewing. Doing some vigorous exercise for about three to five minutes is enough to take the edge off and keep from going down that anxiety path.

Try it right now.

That's a great idea, Bim. I get that crazy feeling first thing in the morning sometimes.

At times like today things seem very bleak.
It seems experience is required for everything - even working in shop/fast food type place.
And I wonder how can I turn my life around?

Wondering if anyone else gets a little rattled when someone who's been part of this community a while and is very active starts drinking again? Every time it happens I feel like maybe I've put them on a pedastool (which I know is wrong) and like none of us are safe. I'm not saying it makes me think it's ok to drink or that I think my sobriety is threatened....I guess it's just unnerving. I just want us all to be ok.

It is unnerving.

BUT. I'm so glad it's not me, and every single time without fail those who post about it are remorseful and feeling bad about it. That helps me a lot - it reinforces the belief I already hold that nothing good that way lies.

lol, jsb. Five second rule and you're a household cleaning expert so I'm sure there was nothing but organic, hamster-safe cleaning product on your super-clean floor.

I'm glad it's not us, either, bim.

Thanks trach I needed a giggle

Jen...never waste a good piece of cheesecake...the way I see it it's your own dirt on the floor so it's ok...although I would scrape that part off

There was nothing on the floor where I dropped it lucky!! I did inspect it to be sure and all is good!

Learning: I'm the same, rarely buy clothes, get my hair cut once or twice a year, don't want a wedding...
Though I do get massages and buy expensive eye creams..

Not much planned today, going to cook, clean, get groceries, go to the river.

My neighbour was over again last night, we had nachos, cheesecake, watched crime docs.
Poor guy, I'm so hot and cold with him; its because if I'm not detached a bit, he gets way too attached.
He's just so nice!! Really sweet and funny, super thoughtful.
The reasons I won't date him full time are kinda superficial; I just wish he had it together a bit more, he's not a mess by any means. I just would like him to be a bit more grown up maybe.

Then the other one I've been seeing who owns a house, 2 new vehicles, is opening his own business and is french and gorgeous I have no chemistry with.

The policeman was really nice; but the guy never stops talking about sex, it gets on my nerves to the point I don't want to have sex with him at all, then he tries harder haha
I'll keep looking, mr right has gotta be out there somewhere!!

I agree, its a bit scary when someone starts drinking again.
I've been relapsing for a year so I'm just done with it.
I actually don't even know my sober date because I stopped and started so many times, one day I just wasn't drinking, I don't know when it started.
I'll just pick a date and go with that

Brynn....it is very unnerving and upsetting. But it has to remind us to never let our guard down. We could be back where we started in a flash. I sure don't want to go through that again.

We popped into Town to see Dave Mason last Night in a surprisingly-small Venue at a Casino. Really good Show from a 69 Year-old Pro. I wouldn't mind the Royalty Income Stream he's got flowing in from having written 'Feelin' Alright'.

'Feelin' Alright' ~ Dave Mason + Traffic Inducted Into R&R Hall Of Fame ~ Live -

Some Drunks were meandering about and forgetting their true age last Night at this Show. Nuffin' but amusing, and certainly no possibility of Triggering. But, they're the sole Circus Masters of that Sideshow. One Guy yelled out for Dave to 'play a David Bowie Song'. Yah, alrighty then.

In lovely News, MesaMate carefully asked me first 'if I was OK' going into an Italian Restaurant/Bar I'd eaten at already. She abstained from imbibing at Dinner, and at the Concert last Night. This is mega-huge. In and of itself as a development, but also because it's the 'New Normal'. I wasn't dreading some other outcome because I thought this Abstention would be the case. Especially in the Trailer confines of Mobile MesaVille, here.

Read here about the travails that Jen is avoiding due to her Marital 'Selectivity'. Any Night ya don't come back to this Hot Mess as Newlyweds is a good Night, eh? Do not attempt this at Home, Kiddies. Lawdy...

- Newlyweds Return To Coked-out AirBnB Guests -

Windy and 69 F [20 C] Degrees after the Sober Sunrise today seen below. Up to 72 F [22 C] as the Week goes on. Just lookin' around today, and a Trailer Stock-up Trip at the Grocery.

MesaDog just let rip a mighty bark when seeing a Gal out the Trailer Window head into the Can ~75' away. We're safe!
