Just checking in- it's my day 7 today and I'm so happy to be here posting. I'm going to another meeting this afternoon and will stay busy as Sunday is always a big drinking day for me ( but which day wasn't lol)

Last Sunday night I finished my 3rd bottle of champagne and somehow fell into bed after hugging the toilet bowl for what seemed like hours... I had already decided that this would be my last day of drinking. Looking back just 7 days I don't know if I actually thought I would follow through with not drinking, or if I would use another excuse to my boys why I needed to just keep drinking a few more days.
Luckily I got a doctors appointment and have stayed online with all of you, getting so much support and love. I now know that I REALLY CAN do this no drinking lark.
I need to make plans and lots of them to keep me on the straight and narrow, but I a, learning so much from all of you and I also got a lot out of my AA meeting last night. I have phone numbers of women I can call if I feel vulnerable and I know I can always come on here to ask for help.

I never meant to make this into an essay but I'm excited to see what tomorrow brings now. . .
