NOT AN IDIOT!! That's your AV talking. Trying to bring you down. If someone has the flu are they an idiot for throwing up? Your sick with a disease. It can be managed and I know you can do it, your here and trying and it doesn't matter how many times you try, just don't give up on yourself. That negative self talk can send you back quicker than almost anything, love yourself and the life you have. Bless you. John
Hi StillSleeping I hated going round in circles too but it was always me doing the walking it stopped when I stopped drinking sounds easy but was really hard when I was caught up in it, kept on landing my ass more times than I could count because of alcohol
One day I admitted I was alcoholic not really a aha moment as by that time it was more than obvious but from there I decided enough is enough
Enough is enough took about 3 months I had periods of 1 day of 3 days of 5 & so on
my highest period of sobriety before right now was 18 days & yesterday I turned 30 months or 915 days today
Point I'm making is I don't have the problems now i had when I was drinking all that pain etc & I am a lot better today not perfect but who is
I know you can do this & I'm rootin for you

I've said that before.
But don't be hard on yourself. You're only human. At least you care enough to post here and share.
Today is a victory for deciding to make this Day 1.
Like Jeni26 said, we all had a Day 1 ( I personally had quite a few)
