First time huge win!

For the first time in years I was able to be with my brother and not have a drink. Usually we get together and kill a 30 pack. Easily. Tonight...nothing. Not for a lack of supplies. Not that he jumped on it either, but I didn't suggest it. Pretty dang sweet. Awesome feeling. One win. Tomorrow is another day to win. Maybe...just maybe this thing is beatable.

Thank you Dee. Tomorrow I am sure we will go to the same place for lunch that we always do when he is in town. Usually that mean an awesomely greasy burger and a couple buds. Tomorrow will be an awesomely greasy burger with a diet pepsi....work and all

Every time you resist the urge to drink you get stronger and your self-esteem grows. Well done.

Keep doing what you are doing as that to me shows it's working, Congrads and you will find in time you draw power from saying no and it like a lot of things in recovery becomes easier to do.

Thanks all. Good thing too because we have a two year old who thinks mommy and daddy don't need sleep. In the past I would have slept through it all and had a pissed of mommy to deal with in the morning. Now, just no sleep

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

LOL, I'd love one of those burgers myself! But seriously, good job on a good win. Use that momentum. You've proven to yourself that you can say no even in the stickiest of situations!
