Good for you dumping the alcohol! Luckily, you came here before you drank. I would suggest re-reading your posts any time you get the urge to drink. That is the real you. That is the person you want to be speaking. It helps me to shut the AV up immediately.

Songs to me have tremendous impact, the ones that tell a story, as I thought of where you might be, here is a song that I hope cheer's you up. There is a strong message in this song to those of us in recovery and to be honest it's been years since I herd it but it came to me as I thought of this thread. The rain he signs of to me is the fog and clutter we experience in early recovery.

I'll just add my opinion not to worry about your diet right now, and make sobriety your priority. I see many newcomers try to do too many things at once; this is a recipe for failure ("I blew my diet, so I might as well drink too...")
Once you feel stronger in your sobriety, you can think about other changes.
