It Is Finished

This is my last post as a drinker. I’m consuming my final glass of wine before I enter treatment tomorrow. I purchased more but like I said in a previous post, I no longer enjoy this, so I poured the rest out. It tastes like pig diarrhea, hurts my head, and my stomach.

The fight is on. I can’t promise to win; many lose and die. But I can promise to fight. I’m a feisty lass of Irish heritage; when I fight, I win.

It’s in God’s hands now. I will bring my best fight.

That's exactly how I felt when I dumped the remnants of my last beer down the drain. Eight years ago.

It is done. I am weeping. It is done.

Soon I'll go to bed and sleep for a few hours, and tomorrow, I'll embark on recovery. 25 years of my life are done.

Soak it all up, learn lots!! A new you awaits.

Recovery is hard work. You'll have to do a lot of things you don't want to do. But it will be soooooooo worth it!
