When we live our lives a day at a time, we are like that rolled-up ball of yarn. Our thoughts, feelings, and skills are ready to be used as they are needed. But when we worry, our spirit becomes a jumbled mass of yarn. We get ahead of and behind ourselves - our thoughts are scattered and often our feelings are confused. Worry adds clutter and confusion to life.

What is most helpful is to put the worry away--to roll up the ball of yarn and bring ourselves into the present moment. In this way, we stand ready for each new stitch--and we will never be given more than we are able to handle.

Love this, erfra; thanks.

Is a lot work ahead of me, still waking up with fear, I dream last night that I fire from 2 jobs I wake up many times during the night. I have a good day yesterday a friend of mine and my youngest daughter we went for a hike and dinner after was good. But went I went to bed sadness come over me, missing my other friend. Talk about mood swings up and down but I still sober and drug free, enjoying life one moment at the time.

I hear a speaker talk about fear, and I reading a book about vulnerability is a lot a work ahead of me, but I do want to do the work and stay sober and be a better human being.

Prayer is the forum for you to express your fears to God. You need not try to manage them on your own or walk around with them bottled up inside. Denying that the fears are there can lead an addict back to the bottle. Honesty and openness are a matter of survival. Speak to God openly as you would a friend. Affirm your desire to trust Him, but confess that you are afraid and don’t know what to do. Ask for courage, the willingness to have faith, and the ability to see His guidance

One day at a time, erfra. Each day brings you closer to healing.

I have hit a couple of rough ones myself lately.
True, we need to grab onto those better moments when we can.
No bed of roses but sober.
It all starts with staying sober today.
Then we have a fighting chance.

Well is Friday. I'm grateful for you. I'm better depression and anxiety are minimal. Today I wake up with worry. Went I ask God for help, to quit drinking and quit drugs He did reach and hold me, and told me that he was waiting for me and he said with affirmation that I have to change everything in me, 2 years 9 months later I think I get it, I go to keep working on myself and trust in God, accept myself the way I'm. Love me. Be kind and patience with myself. Is not easy for me but I'm doing it.

I will open myself to the love available to me from people, the Universe, and my Higher Power today. I will allow myself to give and receive the love I want today. I am grateful that my heart is healing, that I am learning to love

It is always a mistake not to close one's eyes, whether to forgive or to look better into oneself.

—Maurice Maeterlinck

It is easy to look outward and find faults with the world and people around us. We criticize family members or complain about our friends. We always notice disease in the trees around us.

But if we take time to be quiet, to sit alone in a tree or by a lake, we become more aware of how connected we are to the life around us. We are part of the beauty and the imperfection. When we notice our own tree is not perfect, it becomes easier to forgive the blights of those around us. It is also important to forgive ourselves our faults. Though all the trees are beautiful, they each have their scars. Being human means we are, like all humanity, both beautiful and imperfect.

Will I see through the flaws to another's beauty today?

I read this and thought that I like it for me and hopefully some one else will to.
Passion + Daily Action = Purposeful Life

Consider that the real purpose of anyone's life is to be fully involved in living. Try to be present for the journey and fully embrace it. Soon you will be oozing with passion, and you will feel so purposeful and fulfilled you will wonder how you lived life without it. Enjoy the journey into your own awesome life

To be fully present in the moment is absolutely awesome.

Being open and willing is awesome but even more so when we do apply it to daily living.
