You didn't lose. You just took a step back. The only time you lose is if you stop trying.
Now you have to get back up, dust yourself off and keep trying.
Tomorrow, try and think about why you drank and make a plan to avoid that outcome next time.

Put a cork in it for today and as mentioned tomorrow is your day one, reflect on what happened and where you would rather go and that can be the start of your plan as you figure out how to get there.
Wishing you the best, most of us have been there, I know I have.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

You haven't lost. Don't give in to the despairing thoughts and self-loathing that drunkenness gives us.
Turn this into a positive. This event has shown you where you need to strengthen your plan. Tomorrow, analyze what caused it to happen and then patch up that ***** in your armor so that it won't happen again.

Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow, maybe try to really remember what tonight felt like. No fun at all. Just more of the same misery and self-loathing. That is all alcohol offers you, and that is never going to change.
Hang in there with us.

ThanK you for bravely sharing. This is the situation I fear, and I'm so sorry you're going through it. Reading all these messages, especially "remember how you feel right now...misery is all alcohol has to offer" is getting me through tonight. I hope you can pick yourself up and start again, and if you do please share! I need to know that if I fall, I can follow it your footsteps and get back up again too. I wish you the best and can't wait to hear from you again soon.
You just need a better recovery plan csaw.

Feel for you buddy, I bet if you clear your head you will discover it's not you that you hate its what alcohol does to you that you hate. In any event stay strong remember this episode and make it the last one, today is a new day so let's roll our sleeves up and work on a plan to keep you sober.
All the best

It's much easier to love ourselves when we are making choices that help us love ourselves. I hated myself every time I drank and every morning I woke up hungover. But now that I am sober, I can truly appreciate and learn to love who I am. It's hard to see the real you underneath all that poison.
