Day 5 - Return Of The Shakes

It's the evening of Day 5 and whilst I'm not currently experiencing a craving for alcohol, I have noticed the shakes have returned slightly in my hands even though I didn't have them yesterday or Day 3.

Is it normal for a withdrawal symptom to go away for a few days and then return or be delayed altogether? It's not severe shaking of the hands but its enough to be rather annoying.

All in all though, still feeling positive on Day 5 and approaching the 1 week mark is very exciting for me

Daniel

Good job on five days. It can take awhile for the alcohol to leave your system. I don't know how much you drank, but I had the shakes and sweaty palms for three days after I quit. Your body is most likely readjusting to not having alcohol in your system.
If it becomes bothersome I would see a doctor. Might not hurt to get a check up and blood work done anyway.

Hang in there, things will get better.

If it doesn't go away in a week or two, I'd suggest a check up with your doctor.

Thank you everyone, it's stopped again now since a few hours ago. Its amazing how much different I feel even only on Day 5.

Still constantly hungry though haha, but having to eat all the time is nothing compared to how terrible drinking made me feel

Well done on Day 5 Daniel.. I'm day 6 so I share that 1 week milestone excitement with you!

Last time I "quit" I got major night sweats... so far though this time though withdrawal has been quite mild.

Keep going... !
