I cant fn do this
my memories not tbe greatest, but i dont recall too many people that stopped drinking one day and that night myseriously started sleeping good. most peolple, me included, it took time to start sleeping good.
and not sleeping is a pretty bad excuse to use for drinking.
i had many nights i spent reading. many days working on 2-3 hours of sleep.
how bad do you want to stop drinking? bad enough that youre willing to go through some nignts of little sleep?

I tossed and turned for a couple hours last before getting up and taking a few shots. I was worried i wouldnt get any sleep, so i opted for the hangover instead. I wont have a choice tonight because i drank the very last of all the alchohol in my house, but im off tomorrow so it doesnt matter that i dont sleep. Guess we'll just see how it goes
I'd still rather that killing myself by degrees the way I drank.
It's a little short term pain for some marvellous long term gain

Csaw I have done exactly the same thing in the past. Drinking so we can sleep is something though that just perpetuates a cycle of horribleness, and the only way to stop it is to stop drinking and start making new healthier choices. And that's hard and uncomfortable. Im only on day 3, but Im pretty sure that both you and I deserve more than the crap life that alcohol gives us.
all good replies.
I couldn't not drink, night, day it didn't matter. Eventually I forgot why I was drinking in the first place. I just was...
Now, I can't even imagine picking up a drink - for any reason.
It takes time. Time well spent.

Maybe you are just tired, I know if I worked too many hours and didn't get enough sleep my eyes were bloodshot, visine took care of it. You might want to see a doc as well as high blood pressure will do it and when we stop drinking it takes time to get it back to normal.
It's going to take time to undo the damage that daily binge drinking has done to your body, and initial withdrawals take several days too. If you have concerns about your health, please see a doctor and let them know what you are doing - withdrawals can be dangerous, and it's better to be safe than sorry, right?
The good news is that withdrawals are only temporary...they will pass.
Just took a 1 mile bike ride and it about killed me. It may take me years to get back in the shape i was. I cant believe i let myself get in this condition. I cant believe my family and friends let me get in this condition, and none of them drink..but im not blaming then, only myself.
Actually, the cardio goes quickly but also comes back fast.
It won't take a year.
I do suggest adding in some body weight exercise you can do
in your living room to start building strength, however. . .
