New to all this

I am new to internet recovery. I am active in AA and trying to reach out so I have a support group after work when everyone around me is a sleep.

Loads of support here - this forum has really helped me (another AAer).

The other thing that really helps me are the AA speaker recordings when there's not a meeting I can get to (I even listen to them on my commute to / from work instead of the radio, choosing from ones based on my current step work).
This site is great for downloading free speaker recordings 5500+ AA Speakers & Tapes - Organized & Mobile-Friendly!

Welcome, you are with friends and family that understand as we have been there, that is the comfort this forum brings to me, it is but one tool in my tool box, we need to use them to recover.

I've found the face to face aspect of AA useful. This forum is helpful to fill in the gaps when I can't get to a meeting or to read about topics that don't always come up at a meeting.

Hi, and what a great idea to join up here so you have 24/7 support if you need it.

That's exactly why I joined a few days ago. I'm going through a rough white-knuckle taper period to get ready for a detox program in about a week. So, I post here about my crazy thoughts and emotions. The other day, I felt glued to the sofa and couldn't get up. Everybody here supported me, and I was able to get up and as a result I felt much better.

Stick tight around here and it really helps!
