Lulu,
That's what my karma looks like, too. I think the bad post thing is only visible on other people because you have one, and I don't. Like we would report ourselves for making a bad post (LOL)

I got a bad karma mark for saying my heart went out to someone and there's lots of understanding here!! The person who did that must have misunderstood my meaning, or were drunk!?! Kind of hurt my feelings. But hey, to each his own!!
My add-to-karma button is a white balance, like the old kind with two baskets on opposite ends of a pole held by a stand in the middle.
Well, horray for karma anyway. It adds a bit of mystery to what goes on behind the scenes.

But Very, Very Bruisable...

OK, here;s the reason for Sometimes Karma, Sometimes No Karma ...
For some people, the Karma system is like being "rated". In recovery, early recovery especially, I spent a lot of time comparing and wondering what others thought of me. When this whole thing was brought up before the mods and admins, some of them had the same feelings...that it was a rating system.
So...by having it just show up, no schedule, 3 AM or NOON, it becomes much more of a surprise and a game, rather than a regular part of the boards.
Did any of that make sense?
