Hey everyone. Congratulations Melina on 7 months. Good job Mid for turning down that drink. One day at s time

I'm in bed. Soon to be going to sleep. It's been a good day.

Bodhi, I like Shaky Graves. Well, I like House is Haunted? I think that's the title. They've been playing it on the radio here. I like his voice.

See you all tomorrow. I hope you feel better Tetra.

Morning

One late night and next day I fall asleep at 9pm or so, what a lightweight

Holy moley that tattoo! Presumably neither the tattooist or the tattooed can spell

Congratulations on 7 months Melina

Jogged as far as Hackney Wick this morning, first time for a while that I have been that far. I wore a baseball cap with one those spotlights attached

Hi, weekenders.

Having coffee, reading your posts. Morning business as usual)

It's freezing outside, but need to venture out at some moment.

So, I ended up downing both to stop choking while he was rushing to get me water! NEVER drank spirits and now I know why - YUCK! So, I am back on day 1, but I do not feel like I was derailed as I really did not have an option, so it was not a mental battle and giving in, more a "I am going to die on a piece of pretzel".

I will say, I feel like death today, which only strengthens my resolve!

Other than my choking incident it was a lovely relaxed night. Today has been a total loss. I am however positive, will start back at day 1. I am glad he was not drinking beer, or I could have been a mess, but he knows I hate spirits so is drinking those around me to help me.
Learningagain - what a night you had! Sorry you had a drink.

I'm having these twitches of wanting to get a few training sessions in a gym so I get a weights and machines routine I'm comfortable with so I won't hurt myself. I could use some toning, I'm skinnyfat. I think I'll go get some ice cream so the urges go away lol.
Melina - congrats on 7 months sober! That is HUGE!

Go get those weights. Nothing scares AV away like a good workout.

Morning all.

Feel a bit more rested today. Wish we were at home but only one more day to go.

I really liked those murals Ven.

I hope everyone else is keeping well. Do we have any new year sober folks aboard? Hollar if ye need anything. Well done Midwest on refusing that drink. Can you include your partner in your plan?

Good going for the refusal midwest ,
sometimes it seems to me we all get tested early on in our sobriety almost as if the world is testing us in our commitment .
I'm glad you persevered .

Hope everyone got through friday night ok .

Saturday today less than 48 hours before back to the work routine monday , just stick with it , it is possible , it is doable , it might not be fun but all you got to do is get through .
Keep coming here , keep reading and learning . Sober is as sober do .
