Christmas with family

Well made it through big family Christmas with the kids and in-laws, had such a great time, didn't drink although most everyone was. except for my brother in-law repeatedly pestering me to drink with him nobody said a word about me drinking coffee and pop, after some other family occasions where I drank too much I'm sure anyone who cared like my kids were happy I stayed sober, my wife thanked me a few times for behaving so well. nice to wake up rested and not hung over. hope everyone on SR had as nice of holiday as me.

"Had such a great time - didn't drink" - who'd have thought we'd ever say such a thing? Proud of you, zeppo.

That's great, Zeppo, and it's so nice that your wife appreciates the effort you are putting into this.

Great news, well done you. I got through sober too, but got a dose of flu / bug, so don't feel that great. HOWEVER, in the past I would've been self medicating like crazy, not this time. Being sober is getting really precious to me and the longer I am the more clearly I see the problem I had for so many years.
xx
