Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my old cat
She's downstairs eating right now. She's adapting to her new home really well. She will have such a good life with me. This is an animal house. My critters come first.
Happy for you and your kitty
Happy for you.
Yes, they bring with them a lot of enjoyment.
When we walk outside we are greeted by
7 cats, two dogs, two goats and a (few) rosters.
Kind of strange this year.
Usually when we raise baby chicks they turn out to be all hens.
Well, this time it seems that we have 5 rosters !
I love a little crowing in the morning -- but, I don't know about this.

I'm so sorry, least, but I'm also both grateful and happy for your sense of perspective.
When we lose the animals we share our homes and our lives with, we also lose love, comfort, distinct personalities and joy. It's a hard hit. Projecting myself into their personalities, as I did, I also felt as though I'd lost a part of myself. But we don't stop living, and we don't stop bringing goodness into our lives and into the lives of others. You have a lot to give.
