Just wanted to say Merry Xmas and a happy healthy clean and sober new year to everyone here on SR.
I'm on day 13 and managing to get through a holiday with my family without alcohol..
It's a relief and I honesty feel great right now.
To those still struggling please hang in there and keep fighting. It gets better although it's not easy. This feels like I'm waking up after a nightmare, relieved I'm not there anymore and I'm awake.
I'm very greatfull I stumbled onto this forum a few weeks ago when I was sick, drunk and in a very miserable state. Thanks for helping me get here

Sean- glad to hear it. I'm about the same days sober. I think in general with every day it does get easier. I remember 2 weeks ago-man that was a bummer.
